New Ethanol Plant Dedicated in Iowa

Iowa applauded the ground-breaking of the first new ethanol plant in the state in 15 years at the recent dedication for Sunrise Energy Ethanol. The five million gallon farmer-owned facility, located in Blairstown, is expected to utilize two million bushels of corn annually. "Sunrise Energy will serve as a model for other independent producers who are interested in making the most of the growing demand for ethanol," said Iowa Governor Terry Branstad.
