Last year, Ford Motor Company spent $1 million developing retail alternative fuel stations, including ten new E85 stations in Chicago and 40 new E85 stations in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
This year, Ford hopes to help expand locations in Louisville, Kentucky, Milwaukee and Denver.
Ford manufactures two vehicles capable of running on E85: 2000 Taurus sedans and Ford Ranger Trucks with 3.0 liter, V-6 engines. Other vehicles that can run on E85 include 1998-2000 Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth minivans with 3.3 liter, V-6 engines, 1999 and 2000 Chevrolet S-10 and GMC Sonoma pickups with 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder engines.
