California Seeks to Overturn EPA Decision
The California Air Resources Board has filed suit in the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals seeking a reversal of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's decision to deny California's request for a waiver from the federal reformulated gasoline oxygen standard.
The Agency denied California's waiver request in June, ruling the
state had failed to prove that maintaining the federal oxygen
standard would impede with the state's achievement of a national
ambient air quality standard as required by law.
