Schedule for Highway Bill Reauthorization
Congress adjourned the first session of the 105th
Congress without acting to reauthorize federal highway legislation, the
Intermodal Surface Transportation and Efficiency Act. Rather, a six-month
extension of current law was passed, and Congress is expected to take up
the highway bill following the start of the second session in January.
