Nebraska Awards $225,000 to Three New Ethanol Plants
In September, Nebraska Governor Mike Johanns awarded three grants to
proposed ethanol facilities in the state. Each proposed plant received
$75,000:
Oregon Trail in Davenport. The grant
will pay for a feasibility and capitalization plan for a producer-owned
plant encompassing a nine-county area in southern Nebraska and northern
Kansas.
KAAPA Ethanol in Kearney. This grant adds to earlier
funding and will pay for marketing efforts and pre-engineering and
environmental studies.
Crossroads Coop in Sidney. This grant will finance a
preliminary feasibility and capitalization plan for a producer-owned plant
in the Scottsbluff area.
