MTBE Fuel Banned in California Water Reservoir
The use of MTBE- blended fuel has been banned for boats using Diamond Valley Lake, a new drinking water reservoir located in the southern part of the state. The decision was made by the Los Angeles Metropolitan Water District to prevent water pollution from the spilling of MTBE. Boats are permitted to operate on the lake if they use ethanol-blended fuel. |
