EERC Announces Partnership Opportunity
The
National Alternative Fuels Laboratory Program at the University of North Dakota
Energy & Environmental Research Center announced an opportunity to access
multi-disciplinary scientific expertise, and world-class laboratories and test
facilities for performance of renewable and alternative fuels-related research
and development projects to be conducted at the Energy and Environmental
Research Center.
The Center is seeking proposals concerning: 1)
evaluation of new commercial uses for ethanol and biodiesel co-products
including carbon dioxide and glycerine; 2) development and evaluation of
gasification-based processes for production of chemical commodities and fuels
from biomass; and 3) development and performance of specialty analysis methods
for fuels and fuel co- products.
The program is expected to have $100,000
available for project cost-share funding. It is anticipated that one to three
projects will be chosen with a 50 percent cost-share required. A maximum of 10%
of total project labor may be performed by a non-Energy and Environment Research
Center entity.
Submissions must be postmarked no later than April 4,
1997.
