| At the National Conference on Ethanol Policy and Marketing, more than 200 ethanol industry supporters signed a letter to the California Environmental Protection Agency pledging to work together to "assure supplies of clean, renewable, environmentally-safe, home-grown ethanol" to the state. "As an industry, we stand united behind the air quality and other environmental benefits of ethanol," states the letter. "We believe it is possible to achieve the clean air benefits of the California cleaner burning gasoline program without jeopardizing drinking water supplies," the supporters wrote. |
