Coalition Receives $200,000 Federal Grant

The Governors' Ethanol Coalition recently received a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy for information and public relations activities over the next nine months.  The Coalition's project was selected as a result of a national competition conducted by the federal agency.
The new grant will enable the Coalition to revise and update its web site, revise and reprint informational pieces and update trade exhibit materials.  "Nearly three-quarters of the grant will be shared with the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition which is responsible for building a national 85 percent ethanol public fueling station system," Larry Pearce, Nebraska's Coalition representative said.  "America's automakers have produced hundreds of thousands of vehicles that can run on 85 percent ethanol.  It's imperative that a fueling system be in place to take advantage of this opportunity."
