Governors' Ethanol Coalition Seeks Award Nominations

Kansas Governor Bill Graves, Chair of the Coalition, announced the group is seeking nominees for awards for excellence in the promotion and development of ethanol. This is the third year for the competition.

Graves said the Coalition is seeking to recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions and have demonstrated leadership in the promotion and use of ethanol as a domestic, renewable fuel.

Award recipients will be recognized for accomplishments that encourage ethanol's use in meeting our nation's energy, environmental and economic needs.

Awards are available in two categories:

The deadline for nominations for the awards is August 27, 1999. Award winners will be notified on or before October 1 and recognized by Coalition members at the group's meeting in November.
