Wisconsin Offers Production Incentives

The State of Wisconsin became the latest state to offer an incentive to encourage the production of ethanol. Legislation recently signed into law by Governor Tommy Thompson creates a 20-cent per gallon ethanol producer incentive. Ethanol producers are eligible to receive the payment for up to the first 15 million gallons of annual production. Qualified producers include those that produce a minimum of 10 million gallons a year. The incentive sunsets in 2006.
