Hawaii Offers Sugar Cane to Ethanol Incentives

Hawaii
Governor Ben Cayetano recently signed into law legislation creating a credit for investment in qualifying ethanol production facilities. The credit period provides a maximum of eight years for facilities with investment less than $50 million and 10 years for facilities with more than $50 million in total investment. The credit is intended to assist the state's sugar growers by providing a value-added market opportunity.
