Missouri Gets First Plant

Missouri
In addition to recent plant expansions, several new ethanol production facilities have recently celebrated ground breaking and grand opening ceremonies. In Missouri, the state celebrated the opening of its first ethanol plant, a 15 million gallon per year facility located in Macon. The Northeast Missouri Grain Processors' facility, which represents 311 farmer investors, will process 6 million bushels of corn, producing 100 million pounds of dried distillers grains in addition to ethanol. The new facility is expected to bring $20 million in annual economic activity to the state.
