$400,000 to Add E85 Pumps in New Areas
In May, the U.S. Department of Energy selected four Clean Cities projects - in Maryland, Wisconsin, Utah and New Mexico - to receive $400,000 to install E85 fueling systems.
The specific projects selected by the federal energy agency:
- Maryland: $150,000 to the Baltimore Metropolitan Clean Cities Program and the
Maryland Grain Producers Association to continue to develop E85 fueling sites
in Maryland with concentration on Baltimore, Annapolis and the northern
section of the District of Columbia.
- New Mexico: $100,000 to the Land of Enchantment Clean Cities Program in
partnership with the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition to establish E85
refueling facilities to serve Sandia National Laboratory, Los Alamos National
Laboratory and E85 vehicles in the greater Albuquerque area.
- Utah: $75,000
to the Salt Lake City Clean Cities Program in partnership with the National
Ethanol Vehicle Coalition to establish E85 fueling sites in the Wasatch Front
Range of Salt Lake City and Ogden.
- Wisconsin: $75,000 to the Milwaukee Clean Cities Program to assist with the
establishment of E85 infrastructure in the area.
