National Expansion Underway

According to national ethanol industry sources, current production at 56 plants totals 2 billion gallons annually. Expansions that will boost production by 235 million gallons annually are currently underway at 34 of those plants.

Ten new plants are under construction. Once operational, these plants will produce 210 million gallons of ethanol yearly.

Another 16 plants with an estimated annual output of 590 million gallons are expected to move forward in light of the California decision.
