First E-85 Station to Open in Maryland

The Maryland Grain Producers Association has contracted with a Chevron station in Fort Meade, Maryland to operate the state's first E85 fueling station. The site was selected due to its proximity to a large government fleet of flexible fuel vehicles. The station is expected to open to the public in the fall. The pump is being installed with grant funding provided by the U.S. Department of Energy and the grain producers. The grain producers hope to site five more E-85 stations in the state.
