Mr. Luiz Carlos Correa Carvalho will represent the
Coalition at the Steering Committee meeting of the World Bank's Clean Air
Initiative in Latin American Cities, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro the
first week of December. The focus of the Coalition presentation will be:
- An initiative in Latin American cities to implement a mass transit bus
system that operates on 100 percent ethanol;
- An initiative to explore the use of oxygenated diesel blend for heavy duty
and bus applications in Latin American cities; and
- The introduction of flexible fuel vehicles that can operate on up to 85 percent ethanol.
